Position Overview
SSF is seeking a volunteer pursuing a career in Adult Education to support the development of accredited curriculumfor healthcare providers. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in medical education, instructional design, and accreditation processes. The volunteer will work alongside our course planning committees to enhance learning experiences for physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing and structuring medical education courses.
Develop learning objectives, course materials, and assessments for healthcare education programs.
Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and education specialists to create engaging and evidence-based content.
Conduct research on best practices in adult learning theories, instructional design, and digital learning platforms.
Support the evaluation process by gathering and analyzing participant feedback.
Ensure course materials align with SSF’s mission, accreditation guidelines, and educational goals.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Health Education, or a related field.
Interest in medical education and curriculum development for healthcare professionals.
Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with accreditation processes (such as ACCME) is a plus.
Experience with e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Moodle) is a bonus but not required.
