Job Overview: The Seattle Science Foundation (SSF) is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Grant Writer to assist with the submission of grants for our 2025 courses. This role involves preparing and submitting grant applications for 17 full-day courses and various series. The grant submission process is online, straightforward, and can be completed on your own schedule. The position is ideal for someone who is self-motivated and can work independently to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit grant applications for SSF’s 2025 courses.

  • Manage the submission process for 17 full-day courses and related series.

  • Allocate approximately 10 hours of work for three larger courses, with 8-10 hours each for others.

  • Ensure that all grant submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

  • Collaborate with SSF staff to gather necessary information for the grant applications.

  • Maintain accurate records of all grant submissions and track their progress.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in grant writing and submission, particularly in educational or non-profit settings.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient in using online submission portals and tools.

  • Excellent written communication skills.
